His father was Patrick, his mother was Bridget Quin(n). Patrick moved to Harrisville, Burrilville, Rhode Island. He came by way of New York in 1846, and was in RI by 1850. Any connection? There were few Carsons in Roscommon. In 1856, there were only two Carsons listed in Roscommon, one in Gortgallan, Cloonturskert, the other in (Kelveevin, Castlerea today).
