My ggrandfathere WILLLIAM CARSON, who married Sarah Carson in Boston in the 1800s, came from County Tyrone also in the 1800s. They raised their four children, Harold, Roberta, Frank and Don. in the Boston area of Massachusetts. According to a cousin, a sibling of either William or Sarah was Elizabeth Reed. I believe Elizabeth Reed, who had a daughter also named Elizabeth Reed, worked in a bank in Dorchester or Roxbury MA. It is an ongoing source of regret that I have failed miserably the task of finding other Carson cousins in Massachusetts or even in New England. Siblings of Sarah and William are reported to be in Pennsylvania and Connecticut and are associated with the surnames of CRAWFORD and PHELPS. Sadly, I have no further information on ELIZABETH REED, except a census or two. Like so many family historian wannabees, I wasn't serious about genealogy until key family members were dead or couldn't remember. If I could find a cousin with WILLIAM CARSON I have some information, including marriage and funeral certificate, work history with the City of Boston over thirty years, his will, burial information, census records, a conjecture that he came from Fintona , Couny Tyrone and photos. I know much less about his wife, Sarah, except that either she, or her mother, Mary Erwin, might have been a school teacher in Amagh before she came to the U.S. I'm happy to share what I do have.
