    3. Hi Everyone, I have enjoyed the e-mails coming through. Just wish I could connect my female CARSON to one of your lines. I've posted what little I know about my CARSON line before but thought I would try again. Annie CARSON would be one of my 3rd great paternal grandmothers. According to the 1850 Jefferson Twp., Allegheny Co., Pa Census, Annie would be born about 1794 in Pa. Annie married Henry GREGG. From GREGG family genealogy we learned that Henry was born May 16, 1794 in Northern Ireland. Annie and Henry's marriage date was Oct 11, 1818 in Derry Twp. Westmoreland Co., Pa. This information came from Westmoreland County Marriages & Deaths from Weekly Newspapers 1818-1865 Vol. 1 by Fischer, Gregg, Henry & Ann Carson both Derry Twp. married 10-22-1818 by John Shaw Esq. (10-31-1818). No parents names were given. Sometime between the 1850 census and the 1860 census I loose Annie and Henry. I feel they must of died as I found all their children except James. GREGG genealogy says he died young. The following are Annie and Henry's children and the names of their spouses. Ane Maria GREGG born Dec 2, 1819 Pa died Feb 4, 1892 married Samuel C. WATSON Nancy Jane Gregg born 1826 Pa died Jan 30, 1892 married William Hoffman KING Margaret F. Gregg born Jan 13, 1828 Pa. died Oct 19, 1902 Pa married Aron WATSON Joseph Carson Gregg born 1829 Pa. died April 4, 1891 married Isabelle HANEY Emily H. Gregg born March 15, 1832 Pa died Oct 20, 1904 Allegheny Co., Pa married Adam Walton SMITH (my 2nd great paternal grandparents) Samuel T. Gregg born June 13, 1835 died 1915 married Eliza T. J. CRAVEN James Gregg Just a side note - My son, who doesn't pay a lot of attention to my genealogy, had a rock and roll band back in the 1990's. At that time he and his wife, before children, took snow skiing vacations to Colorado. The name Kit Carson is so popular where they would ski that he named his band Kit Carson.
