I am a first cousin 5 times removed from Kit Carson. If Lindsey Carson, his father, is the brother of my Andrew Carson as is generally accepted, then I can prove my connection. Andrew and Lindsey were the sons of William Carson who lived in Iredell Co NC. Andrew Carson died in Iredell Co NC and his family is well documented there. His brother, Lindsey moved to KY. Andrew's son, Andrew Washington Carson, moved to Henry County TN were members of my family still own the property and cemetery which has been in the family since the early 1800's. Kit was Andrew Washington Carson's first cousin. I am A W's third great granddaughter.
