I think that David CARSON is the son of George CARSON b.1770/1775, SC and Elizabeth b.1782, SC. There is also a chance that he is the son of John CARSON b.1780, SC. John and George CARSON are brothers and both listed in the 1830 census of Pike Co, MS.
