    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DiH.2ACEB/1728 Message Board Post: David M. Carson was born sometime between 1820-30 in either Buncombe or Haywood NC or possibly Greene or Washington Co in eastern TN. He was a son of Ambrose Carson born 1798 Greene or Washington Co TN and grandson of David Carson born c1760-65 possibly Dauphin PA or maybe NC. Ambrose was a brother of Samuel Carson (my 3g grandfather). The families were living in Haywood Co NC in 1830. At that time, Catherine Carson, widow of David #1, deeded some cattle to two of her young grandchildren including David M. Carson (Ambrose son) and Catherine Carson (Samuel's daughter age 1 or so). I'm guessing that David M. was a boy at the time. Does anybody have hints on this David M? I've seen a David Maxwell Carson born 1824 (Greene TN) and wonder if that might be this David. Thanks, Gary Carson

He is identified on back as, "E.W. Carson." In a close up image I have shown he was carrying HARPER'S BAZAAR and The Spokane Review. 3. Marilyn; I have been searching for my great great grandfather's family from New Jersey for a long, long time and no luck. He married a DeVoss (DeVose) from Indiana or Ohio and migrated to Northern Missouri. His name was David Carson, born in 1812, I think. One census report had him bornin 1812; another had it as 1825. I really think 1812 is correct because of the descendants. Doris Fisher in Iowa [email protected]

    3. I have been curious about the New England Walter Carson but have no info on him or the New York Carsons. Walter Carson m. Agness Chester Ct. PA was in the US by 1729; he's on the tax rolls in the same city where Samuel Carson m. Jane Patterson lived and paid taxes in 1725. We have a letter which establishes a blood relationship between Samuel and Walter in Chester Ct. but not whether cousins or brothers. It is probable both came together sometime prior to 1725; Walter may not have had land and therefore wasn't a taxpayer prior to 1729. The daughter of Walter Carson m.
