On 8 May 1836 Lydia Dees Married John Carle (Carroll) in west Feliciana, LA (Louisiana Mariages 1718-1925 - Ancestry.com). John Carroll (Carle) and Lydia are in the 1850 Eastern Dist., St. Helena LA census with five children. In the 1860 Bossier, LA census Lydia age 49 is head with the five children. In 1870 Lydia is living with daughter Emily M. and her husband Benjamin F. Johnson in the census for Jackson, Little River AR. Lydia's son Walter W. Carroll is nearby in the Lick Creek, Little River census with his family. In 1880 Lydia is living with son Walter W. Carroll in Lick Creek, Little River county. Lydia's brother Jacob B. Curry came to Little River before 1860 (in the 1860 Jackson, Sevier Census). Lydia's niece Thetia Willard Gardner and nephew Jacob Willard (children of Lydia's si! ster Nancy Rachel Curry Willard) came to Little River county in 1865 and 1871 respectively. Nancy Rachel Curry Willard is said to have died in Little River county in 1894. Connections with DEES: Before marrying each other, Lydia Curry married Ransom Dees 1929, and John Carle (Carroll) married Sarah Dees also 1929. Lydia's brother Jacob G. Curry married Caroline Dees. Caroline Dees' sister Elizabeth married Anderson Carroll (possible relation to John Carroll?) whose children are living with Lydia Curry Carroll in the 1850 East Feliciana, LA census.
