My great-great-grandparents, Margaret Kennedy and Denis Carroll, were married in Kildorrery, Cork, in 1813. It seems as if the Carrolls arrived in that area from county Tipperary in the late 1700's. I do not know all of their children because records were not kept that early, but between 1813-1837 they did have Ellen, Denis, Margaret, Veronica Ann (who always went by Ann), Edmond, Mary, Catherine, and Anthony. I have never found a descendant of anyone other than V. Ann, my ggrandmother. The family seemed to leave the area in the 1800's.
