Alexander CARRELL/CARROL married Lucy RYAL/ROYAL in Duplin County, NC on April 7, 1783. By time for the 1790 census the area where they lived around Six Runs Creek near Turkey, NC, had become Sampson County. Demcy Carrel co-signed Alexander's marriage bond (father?). Alexander also bought some land from Demcy Carroll and his wife Martha. Demcy Carrel, Edmund Carrel, and Manson Carrel were witnesses when Alexander later sold land. According to Alexander's will which was written in 1827 (no record of probation) his children were Hardy Carrell, Reason Carrell, Wiley Carrell, Phanny Bridges, Rebekah Carrell, MaryAnn Tedder, and Betsey Ann Royall. Major Hardy Carrell settled in Stokes County, NC. I have information to share on his family, but I would like to know anything about Alexander's parents or other children. Thanks, Lura
