I did find a marriage record in St. Joseph county in Indiana, where he married my grandmother, but have not sent for the certificate yet. We know very little about James Wilber. My grandmother never really spoke of him, and when she did, she changed her story many times. First she said he died in a motorcycle accident, then she said he died at war, she never told us much otherwise. She took it with her when she died. She wouldn't even tell us why he left, or if she was the one that asked him to leave. I do have 2 old pictures of James Wilber that my aunt gave us after my grandma died, but there is no information on the photos. My father looks exactly like James Wilber, but my father doesn't rememnber him. I really need to find him, and would appreciate any help you can give.
