John Carroll Sarah Delany Furney Hopson 1860 Census Gwinnett 1254 - Thomas (40) and Epsa (39) Kindley family, which includes: Carroll, John, age 52, born NC - Farmer $500/3,500 and 2 slaves Sarah, age 44, born NC Hopson, age 22, born NC - Farmer $400/$600 ]1288 - Star, Sam, age 28, born GA; Farmer $660/$200 (the only Starr listed in 1860 Gwinnett) L. E., female, age 28, born NC St., female, age 7, born GA Mary, age 5, born GA Rocksann, female, age 3, born GA L. L., male, age 4 months, born GA Delany (Lany) Ellen Carroll m. Samuel Henry Starr. Samuel must have died in the Civil War and Delany died in 1867. Her son Spence went to live with his grandfather Starr and the girls went to live with their grandparents Carroll.
