The similarity in our family histories has motivated me to reply to a request written on 29 Sept. I just returned from Ireland and am just catching up. My immigrants are Thomas and Ann Meara Carroll of Lorrha Parish, Tipperary County N.R., Lower Musnster, Parsonstown and Borisokane PLUs. They also came to America in 1854 and had a Patrick who did not show up on the New York City Census. The real motivator for my writing was the fact that I found a Dunn buried along with the family in the cemetery located at the Dominican Abbey in Lorrha. The tombstone is as follows: Kind reader: Departed this life 10 Apr 1793 age 18 Kind Angels watch this heaping dirt "till Jesus comes to raise the dust. Are you sure you are from Westmeath?
