Sorry about the previous post under this topic. There are thirteen counties named Carroll in the U.S. according to my map software. Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia all have one. Tennessee's Carroll County was named after Governor William Carroll. I could not find who the Carroll Counties in Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, and New Hampshire were named after. The rest were named for Charles Carroll of Carrollton, signer of the Declaration of Independence. Just thought I'd throw that bit of trivia out there.
