My Benjamin Carroll was born December 25, 1753 in Orange County, NC, and died January 31, 1846. He married Nancy Peeler January 13, 1786 in Orange County, NC. He was the son of Stephen Carroll, who was born about 1733 and supposedly immigrated from Ireland with two brothers. There are lots of other Benjamins in the area of the surrounding counties. Scott, There are Benjamins on 33 pages of the book. These are listed as found in the notes of the various VA counties. As you can imagine it would take a very long time to try to decide if one of these removed to NC. The only one I see listed as being from NC is in the list of Rev. pension applicants on page 33. Nancy (?Peeler), widow submitted pens. application in July 1846 while living in the home of Christian Peeler in Orange County, NC. Hope this is helpful.
