Looking for info on my 2x's great grandfather. Carroll, Charles M. b. 1828, York, dist. SC. m DOBSON, Nancy, b. 1825 Charles is on the 1860 census (York, SC) but not the 1870. According to the rumour he took off for GA. after the Civil War, leaving his wife and sons, Samuel Bell b. 1848, John E. b. 1852, James H. b. 1855 and my line Euramus or UC b. 1860. Has anyone in GA. seen this Charles M. after say 1865 or so? He may have started a whole other family? Thank you Diane in Wi mummer2@aol.com
