Jim Downing Subj: Newton & Nora Carroll Date: 8/11/00 4:35:40 PM Central Daylight Time From: "dchanet"@pld.com@pld.com (Pionex Elite) To: BGandy007@aol.com I am inquiring about Newton & Nora Carroll-(especially about Nora) she is my grandmother and lived in Cherokee county, Oklahoma. She died of the 1918-1919 flu and my mother was about 3 years old. She was of english descent, and was buried in Molly Fields cemetery near Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The family bible was destroyed by fire which I am sure listed the events (marriage, etc.) We know Newton was from South Carolina and was about l/4 Cherokee Indian. Nora was born in 1889 and died in 1919. Three children were born to them, Raymond, Ervin and Cynthia. Cynthia is the only surviving child. She will be 84 this year, and I'm having trouble locating anything about "Nora" her mother. I was amazed by the number of Carroll's listed! My e-mail is katz@globenetworks.com. Would appreciate anything you might know about this side of the family. If anything, it is really interesting to read all of Carroll's! Hope to hear from you! --------------------------------------------- <A HREF="http://gladads.com/index.htm">Wichita Falls and Texoma Shopping and Dining - Find It Here...
