Dear Carroll listers, I would like to find a CARROLL relation to each of you, because you are such a caring bunch of folks! I have received many letters answering the question I asked a few days ago and expressing concern that I might have been offended by one response. I wrote: "In this genealogy survival game we learn as we go along, right?? Well, I'm just trying to learn. Would you please tell me what the letters "FHC" represent?" I believe that many of you were like me and at first misunderstood the following response. At first I thought I had offended the writer by saying that "we learn as we go along." Then one of you pointed out to me the word "show" in the answer. You see, I like to have fun, so I had done a take-off on the Survivor Show when I said "genealogy survival game." I believe the responder also has a sense of humor, so he/she wrote: "lets leave that idiot show out of this." I have no animosity about this response. I see no reason that I should allow that person, or anyone else, to ever control my feelings enough to cause me bitterness or anger. I hope those of you who were upset by this, will forgive, forget, and get on with the pursuit of your ancestors. Don't allow one response to cause you to leave the mail list and miss out on an opportunity to find a way over one of your brick walls. I do thank you for caring!
