My brick wall is find out about William Carroll who is connected to the Hydes. They are from the Birmingham, McCalla Alabama area. The family was almost completely wiped out from influenza around 1916-1918 and one of the surviving sons was Homer Carroll and was raised by the Spark family and other aunts and uncles. My brick wall is also a William CARROLL, born 1835 in Chatham, New Brunswick; appears in the 1851 census (age 15) as a grandson, living with James and Bridget FAHEY. From there, no information. Does anyone have a William CARROLL, born about that time, and from New Brunswick (or maybe just "Canada")? ------- Joe
