Steele, married my greatgrandmother, Margaret Ann Carroll, on Aug 21, 1842 in Saline County, AR., with Justice of the Peace S.T.Collier presiding. Margaret was born on Jan 27, 1824 and died Mar 22, 1901 in Hill Co, TX. Margaret was the daughter of William Carroll (b1793?). The 1880 Hill County TX US Census says Margaret was born in South Carolina and her father was born in SC and her mother was born in North Carolina.
