My gggrandparents, Lawrence Carroll and Eliza Swayne were both born in County Cork according to family legend. They married 09/30/1856 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Word is that Eliza was a widow by 1860 with two children and move to Ontario, Canada. She worked for Sir John A. MacDonald the 1st Prime Minister of Canada, as a seamstress.
