Thank you Gerry for explaining "Iowegian." I would have guessed that it was a person from the "low" country as opposed to the mountains. I have been thinking too much about Ireland, I suppose. If the person who sent mail with attachments had your address in his address book and the attachment was indeed a virus, he probably did not know the message was sent. You are truly wise not to open attachments unless you scan them first with an anti-virus program such as Norton. This is what I do if I think they may be important. Lura, I've had no contact with either of the two persons mentioned in my post. Each of their 'Subject' lines contain "RE: , etc." The only connection is CARROLL-L. Since I have posted their e-mail addresses I thought perhaps they'd respond. So far, not a word. We make our practice NEVER OPEN ATTACHMENTS. If it is important the sender can 'cut and paste' the info and place in the message portion of e-mail.
