Tenn. They have been hard to trace because everyone seems to hit a brick wall at Sterling Carroll. From what I can find out you might also want to look in North Carolina as there were several Carrolls moved out of North Carolina to Tennessee between 1800 and 1820. If you have any other names I will see if they match any of the Carroll's I have found so far.
