Hi everyone I am researching ( or trying to) my family on the Carroll side. I know they came from Ireland, stopped briefly in Newfoundland (over the winter) where my greatgrandfather John Michael Carroll was born and then the family moved and settled in Halifax Nova Scotia. John Michael Carroll married Johanna Alyward...she died at age 43 in 1910 in Halifax. They had 5 children. William Carroll ( wife Jenny) John Michael Carroll Thomas Francis Carroll who left & settled in Boston MA Mary Margaret Carroll ( married Frank Day) Edward Joseph Carroll b May 1899 in Halifax and married Daisey Bell Warne. I descend from Edward Joseph (Ned) Carroll and his wife Daisey Belle all of the children above were born in Halifax NS> Also if anyone has access to the Halifax City Census for 1861, 1871, 1881 I would love a look up.
