He is listed as being from DC. His age is shown as 54 which would put his birth in 1796. He was married to Susanah who is listed as being from Ohio. She was 48 which would put her birth in 1802. The census shows a son, Allen Carroll, who may have married a Sarah Botkin in 1853 also in Jersey county. My great grandfather's parents are listed as Allan Carroll and Sarah Bodkins at the funeral home that handled his burial.
