    3. As most of you have noticed, I recently "gatewayed" our message board to the List. That means that any message posted on our board, and only on our board, will also be automatically sent to everyone on our list. I know that a few subscribers dislike the additional messages. We have probably lost a half-dozen because of it. However, we have probably added three times that number of subscribers as a result. The further advantage is that we are seeing more family information which has value to serious family researchers. I would suggest to anyone who might be bothered by the increase in activity, that they unsubscribe to the -L list and resubscribe to the digest (-D) list. 3. Good Morning Cal and List, I am new to the Carroll mailing list and have already had several "hits" that have helped me piece together the history of the "Louisiana" Carrolls. Found cousins I had lost contact with through the years, and found more. I am now able to continue my work on the siblings and descendants of John Edward Carroll and Mary Strain. It is beyond my comprehension as to why people would "drop off" the list because of increased activity. You never know when that particular posting might be what helps knock down the brick wall. I've learned from the other lists I subscribe to, if the message doesn't pertain to you, use your pinky and hit the "delete" key. I have been searching for the book "The Heritage of Our Children" by Francis Carroll of Victoria, Texas. I understand there are over 70 pages of information that pertains to my branch of the Carroll's. Do you or anyone else on the list know where I could obtain a copy of this book? I am working Carroll, Whittington, Domingue, Bourg, Schexnayder, Pitre, Prejean (my ancestry) Metrejean/Maitrejean, Broussard, O'Donnell, Vicknair, Achee (my husband's ancestry) and interested in the collateral lines. Keep up the great work and thank you, Shirley Metrejean
