My great grandparents moved to Jarrow, NE England sometime before the 1881 cencus, form Ireland. They were from either Ballygriffin, Co. Cork or Sligo area. The info I have is limited, but as follows: Patrick Carroll born Ireland 1846, wife Mary Ann (nee. Higgins) born Scotland (possibly Airdrie?) 1851. They had in 1881 a lodger, Francis Higgins born Ireland 1821, who I assume is a relative of Mary Ann, possibly her father? Their children were Owen, Patrick, James, Sarah, Mary Ann (born 10.3.1892) As far as I know the family remained in North east of England. Any advice on tracing this limited info further would be appreciated. Many thanks, Catherine McDonald _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
