My ggrandmother, Bridgid Carroll immigrated to Illinois from County Louth near Dromskin during the famine times. She ended up outside of Kansas City, KS where she engaged in letter writing with her family in County Louth. I have about 15 of thee letters. Have not been able to get a good fix on her siblings but have some info. I met a third cousin who escorted me around County Louth a few years ago to the cemeteries where Bridgid's parents and some siblings are buried.
