I am searching for Elisha Carroll (1824-1825) of Sampson County, NC. I spoke w/ a Mr. Dowless who puts marker up for REV WAR soldiers and Civil WAR soldiers. He checked his books for Elisha Carroll. He found a J. E. Carroll who enlisted in Oct 1861 and Elisha G. Carroll who enlisted in August 1861 from Bladen/Cumberland County, NC He is going to try to get someone to visit the cemetery where my Elisha Carroll is buried Beulah Church-Ten Mile Cemetery-Turkey, NC to see if there was an actual mixed up of the two mens service records. Mr. Oscar Bizzell who is a noted researcher had that Elisha Carroll who served in the Rev WAR was the one who married Bathsheba Swann Parker and this is incorrect information because she was not born by then...Bathsheba Swann Parker m. Elisha Carroll b. 1824-1825... Daughter of REV WAR soldier Richard Parker and Letitia Drew Parker...Anthony Drew married Mary Carroll so I am not certain if Mary Carroll and J. Elisha Carroll are related? Anthony Drew and Letitia Drew were related. Does anyone have a J. E. Carroll in their family lines who was born 1824-1825? Thanks, Gayle May your troubles be less, may your blessings be more, and may nothing, but happiness come through your door
