Carroll. He was last known to be in Omaha Nebraska at 319 [or 321] South 15th Street in October 1886 when he was served there with divorce papers from Cook County IL, wjere his wife Elizabeth Durnford Skinner was suing for divorce. Francis D. Carrol was born cir 1858 in Syracuse NY of parents Francis Edward Carroll and Carolyn Louise Goldsmith. He married Elizabeth D. Skinner of Auburn NY 23 Jul 1879 and they had one son, Edward Skinner Carroll born 7 Jun 1880. Francis [possibly known as Frank] Carroll was trained as a clerk and possibly a gasfitter (family business) but was a drunkard and later a traveling salesman. He moved to Nebraska, and was there when his wife moved to Chicago, divorced him in 1887, and remarried her deceased sister Alice Skinner's widower Charles Jernegan. One 1910 secondary source reported that Francis D. Carroll was [living] in Oklahoma cir 1910 (probably elying on information from his father or his family in Syracuse). I cannot find wht became of Francis D. Carroll. I would not be surprised if he did not start a second family in NE or OK.
