I am looking for a Phillip Carroll from NC probably born about 1780. I am stuck at Phillip's son William James Carroll. This William left NC abt 1840 for VA. He re-married about 1880 in Lee County, VA and listed his father's name as Phillip Carroll. Any chance Phidellia and Phillip could be variations of the same name?
