    2. I am seeking the ancestors of Simon Carroll and to confirm his children. Simon was born 1846 in Dale County, AL, and died in AL. I believe he married ANN ELIZABETH MANCILL in Covington County, AL, daughter of JOHN MANCILL and MARTHA ??. Notes for SIMON CARROLL: Simon Carroll was elected as a Constable of Beat No. 8 in Covington County on November 7, 1871. He was married to Elizabeth Mancil who was related to E. J. Mancil, Covington County representative in the Alabama State Legislature several times. The Mancil's have a cemetery near Sanford, AL on the Opp-Andalusia highway. It is on a hill above a small creek. Edward Mancill, Sr. came from South Carolina in 1817 as an early settler.
