Notes for SIMON CARROLL: Simon Carroll was elected as a Constable of Beat No. 8 in Covington County on November 7, 1871. He was married to Elizabeth Mancil who was related to E. J. Mancil, Covington County representative in the Alabama State Legislature several times. The Mancil's have a cemetery near Sanford, AL on the Opp-Andalusia highway.
