T. H. Carroll m Anna Murphy. Do not know when, but they both came from Ireland. They ended up in NY, where they had Catherine A. Carroll b. 12/22/1852 I do not know what part of NY although it was suggested in was in NYC, by another decentant from her. (which just had a heart attack, so any info from him now is impossible). Prior to 1879 she moved to Cloverport, Breckenridge County, KY. She married a John Finan, also from Ireland. I found several records, suggesting a marriage for a John Finan and a Catherine Carroll in 1866 in Vanderburgh County, IN. But have not been able to get any info on that yet. She had a son in 1879, John Finan in Henderson County, KY, and remarried in 1885 to a John E Rapp, in Vanderburgh County, IN. Then she shows up in Henderson County, with two children from him and John Finan in 1900 Census. I am sure that T. H. Carroll and Anna had more children as in the 1920 census Catherine Carroll is deceased (d. 1915 in Vanderburgh County, IN) but a Walter Carroll nephew is living with John Rapp and their daughter Delia Rapp. Middle names for the Finan's may suggest that Catherine's father's name was Thomas or Therman <sp>. And the middle name possibly Herbert. I realize this is not much to go by, but maybe some of you may have a suggestion. They probably came over from Ireland in the early 1840's or so.
