My ggrandfather was Patrick Joseph Carroll. He emigrated sometime in the 1840's. Supposedly the only person who corresponded with him was a sister. Don't know what he did from that time until he showed up in Beaver Falls, PA in the 1870's. At that time he married a woman 20 years his junior - Margaret Ann Gibney - who was born near Wilkes-Barre, PA. Patrick is buried in New Brighton, PA. There are four Carroll gravestones together - John, Margaret, Patrick and Mary. I asked my mother years ago who the other two were and she shrugged and said "cousins". All records were lost in a fire. Patrick and Margaret had three sons: Christopher Charles Joseph born 1887 Thomas A. was born approximately 1877. He married Frances ? They had four children. son - Thomas dtr. - Hilda dtr. - Margaret dtr. - ?? who married Frank Langsenhamp(sp) in 1929. The family moved to Indianapolis, IN where the senior Thomas died in 1929 after suffering a CVA at his daughter's wedding reception. I met the junior Thomas in 1957 in Indiana, but don't know whatever happened to his children or his sisters children. Charles Joseph was my grandfather who lived in Beaver Falls and New Brighton, PA. Christopher was raised in Beaver Falls, but moved to Pittsburgh ? He died in a drowning accident as a young man. Anyone see any possible connection? Carol
