Ok. I'll try once more. Anyone have a John J Carroll family. He was born in NY. Last census was in Kansas. Children Walter Edward, and some daughters. Born in Neodasha Kansas. He is my grandfather but was dead before I arrived on the scene. My father was Samuel Edward Carroll, Born in Kansas also. He had lots of brothers and sisters who ended up in Hammond, Indiana. Folks on these mail lists are always very helpful if they can be, but without information there just isn't much we can do to help. Err on the side of giving too much information, rather than not enough. For example: -Where in NY was he born? -Which census in Kansas? -Daughters are important, too. Do you know their names? Do you know who they married? -When was Walter born? -When did he die? -IF you father is now dead, you might want to give dates for him, too. If he is still alive, it might be best to not give those dates. That is up to your discretion. I'll bet folks will try to help if they can.
