We have traced out family from my dad, Richard Leroy Carroll back to Archie Lee Carroll, then Archibald Carroll, then Daniel Boone Carroll, then Luke Carroll. We know Daniel Boone Carroll was the son of Luke Carroll b. 1770 in Grayson, Virginia and Martha Noland b. about 1770 in North Carolina. She was Luke's 1st wife and they had Daniel Boone Carroll b. 1796 in Grayson Co., VA. They also had Samuel, Archibald, Luke, and Clarke. Luke Carroll d. after 1795 in our source, apparently in Grayson Co., VA. We also are trying to go backward to parents of Luke Carroll and beyond.
