Been following all the posts on the Carroll family, and thought I'd throw mine in the ring again. Looking for the father of Hugh Carroll b. near Martinsburgh, Va. According to Goodspeed history page 1050, Hugh's father came from Ireland and was a hero in the Battle of New Orleans, 1815. Of course I do realize that these histories were submitted by the people their selves, so they could have anything written up about the family. Thanks , Katy
