Seeking info on John Joseph Carroll's family. JJ born1849 in NY city. Father supposed to be Michael Carroll and mother Julia Dwyer, both born Ireland. Michael and Julia supposedly died in 1850's and children were raised by an aunt. Family was Catholic and reportedly two sisters of JJ became nuns. A brother Tom supposedly left when he became 16 and was not heard from again. Any info on parents or sibs of JJ would be greatly appreciated. Gerald Beach
