Lura, I have a MARY "POLLY" CARROLL, b. 6/4/1773, Duplin Co.,NC; married to JAMES HOLLINGSWORTH, b:abt/ 1768 son of James Hollingsworth and Elizabeth "Betsey" Merritt. Mary "Polly" was the daughter of Jesse Carroll & Mary Rachel Gavin. She was also the sister of John Carroll who married Elizabeth Hollingsworth (!st) and Ann "Nancy" Hollingsworth (2). They Mary "Polly" and James Hollingsworth relocated to Kosciusko, Mississippi. Then I have a Hardy Carroll married to Lydia Hollingsworth, b:abt. 1759 She was the daughter of Henry Hollingsworth & Mary Murray. Lydia was the sister of James (above who was married to Elizabeth "Betsy" Merritt). Hardy bought land from Henry Hollingsworth and Mary Murray. One of these days we will get this all figured out.
