    1. [CARROLL] William CARROLL, Co. Tipperary, Ireland to Hardin Co., KY
    2. Since the list has been a little more active than usual, I thought I would post my CARROLLs once again in hopes that someone new to the list may not have seen it. My g-grandfather was William CARROLL b. (1837-1846), Ireland (Co. Tipperary per daughter's marriage license) Obit. dated 1889 states age 52 (1837) Tombstone inscription birth year - 1843 2 Death records state age 43 (1846) d. Jan. 21, 1889, Perry Co., Indiana Buried St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Cannelton, Perry Co., IN m. Anna MINTON/ MINTER, (ca. 1870) b. 1853, Hardin or Grayson Co., KY d. 1941, Vanderburgh Co., IN Buried St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Cannelton, Perry Co., IN Children: 1. James Dionisius, b. 27 Oct. 1874 Christened 6 Dec. 1874, St. Clare Catholic Church, Hardin Co., KY 2. Mary Margaret "Maggie" b. 1876, Kentucky d. 1958, buried St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Cannelton Perry Co., IN m. Joseph Uehlein 3. Joseph W. b. 1878, Kentucky Buried Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY m. Elizabeth Schley --------No children 4. Anna J. (my grandmother) b. May 1886, Indiana d. Feb. 1952, buried Rockport, Spencer Co., IN m. George T. Gibbs, 1906 Perry Co., IN 5. Patrick b. ?Sep 1890 d. 1963, New Albany, Indiana m. Lydia Barker -------5 sons * Patrick was born posthumously. I have not researched this but the 1900 Perry Co., IN Census gives his birth date as Sep 1890. Since William Carroll died Jan. 1889, either the birthdate for Patrick is incorrect or, William isn't his father but he definitely used CARROLL as his surname. There was one more child but I have not been able to find anything on him/her. I have not been able to find William and Anna CARROLL in the 1880 Census. They should be somewhere with at the very least, Maggie and Joseph, and, possibly James D. I think James may have died young but don't know for sure. Anna, Maggie, Joseph, Anna J. and Patrick are in the 1900 Perry Co., IN Census. Does anyone on this list have CARROLLs in Hardin and/or Grayson Co., KY? Any help or advice appreciated.
