Before this I don't know. His wife Jeanette Carrell has a will listed on SC Archives. I'm not sure which Joseph Carrell is mine. Martha Carrell, daughter of Joseph Carrell & ? married William J Hugg. I saw an excerpt from a will in The South Carolina Magazine for Ancestral research,but now can't find it again. In it it talks of his daughter Martha marrying William J Hugg. Also in Stephen Huggs will it tells of his daughter Nancy marrying Jacob Carrell.Stephen Hugg is William J Hugg's father. There are so many of the same name it gets confusing. William J Hugg & Martha CARRELL Hugg are in Murray Co,GA 1850 census.Also there is their daughter Martha E HUGG Hammett & John J Hammett, my GG grandparents.
