    3. Gail, I think you will find that the location for Gilner was New Madrid, not Midred. I have no personal knowledge of this man, however, a number of Carrolls moved to Missouri from Tennessee so that part seems reasonable. I will forward your query to our Carroll family mailing list, (about 600 subscribers) and see if you get a response. I'll ask that any responses be sent directly to you.
