Looking for the parents of Jacob Carroll, born January 1850 or 1851 in either North Carolina or Virginia. He married Mary Ann Duncan, who is said to have been a descendant of a Duncan and Cherokee woman. Mary Ann was born 03-26-1865 in Floyd County, Virginia. Jacob and Mary Ann were married 11-03-1888. Their children included Clydia Carroll (married Joseph Madison Spence), Harvey, Posey, Idia, Froney, and others.
