They were my granddad's parents. Annie Belle died in 1914, possibly during a miscarraige. My grandpa was 9 when this happened. His father then hooked up with a Dora or Dorie Simpson, and my grandpa Ernest H. Carroll and his 2 brothers, we forced out of their home. His brothers were Luther and Henry. I beleive his brothers were taken in by family members but my grandpa lived where he could and how ever he could.My grandpa married Minnie Mae Pillion and lived in Lee County for several years.
