My brick wall is Jeremiah Carroll, born in NY in 1854-1894. He married Elizabeth Meehan in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada in 1873-1874. They had 4 children there, Mary, John, Thomas, Frances(1879). They then migrated to Cook co. Chicago, Illinois and had 5 more children: Jeremiah,1880, Catherine, Edward Arthur,Elizabeth, Steven. Jeremiah died in 1894 and Elizabeth in 1906 of a stroke. They are both buried in Chicago. I can only find them in one census and that is the one from Cobourg. Probably 1880. Jeremiah jr. was born in Chicago. It is said that there are relatives in NY in the poughkeepsie area. James E. Carroll, ran a meat market on Jefferson st. there. He had a lot of children also and I have most of their information. I don't know how the two connect? Thomas of NY, born 1885 was a secretary to Cardinal Hayes and James jr. and Robert Carroll, were attorney's there. I think the wife's! > name was Ann Elizabeth Belton. Can you help me at all? PLEASE! > Judy > > Important Note: > The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
