I have a marriage application form from July 1883 for a marriage between Benjamin Carroll of Orange County Indiana previously married to Sally Sinclair, to a Rebecka Newton (4th marriage). The application form has the name of Rebecka's father as Phillip Overbee. Previous research from Newton descendants claim that this is an error and Rebecka's maiden name was Crecelius, father Phillip Crecelius. The application form is not perfect, not complete and it contains a glaring error in another section, but until I can prove that Rebecka's father's name is also an error, questions remain.
