Her father was Jeremiah Carroll, born 1854 in NY. He went to Ontario Canada and married Elizabeth A. Meehan. Then they ended up in Cook co. Chicago, Illinois. That is where Jeremiah died at the age of 40 yrs in 1894. I can't find any record of him in NY. He says his parents were from Ireland, but not where. I sent for Jeremiah's death cert. and it didn't tell me anything, no place of birth, just NY. No parents names either. I have been looking for 10 yrs for this person. I know who his children were and the first 4 were born in Ontario, Canada and the rest in Ill. Family search has him listed as JEREMICH CARROLL. I think sometimes he was called Jeremy. I can only find 1 census with him, wife and 4 children. The ones born in Ill., I have yet to find. I sure would like to find out WHERE in NY he was born, and who his parents were. Any advice is appreciated, I don't know where to turn next. His first son w! as named John, then Thomas, James, Edward Arthur, Jeremiah 1880. hi i am looking for Jefferson Carroll born 1883 in Lee county,Va. His parents are Thomas J.Carroll and Sarah A Hall. he left virginia in the early 1900 and no one has heard from him since. would like to know if he has any family members . i have hit that brick wall that every one keeps talking about. i have talked to his niece and she has no ideal where he went . all she could tell me was she thought he went out west. may be true or it may not be. any help would be appreciated. thanks wilma
