This means as new men are tested, there is a good chance they will be able to find a match. So many came to the North American Continent before good records were kept, and especially those who went to the south and southwest, did not keep good family records. Therefore, DNA may be the only way to find relatives... and some of us have! How many alleles (markers) does a person need to test to verify a match? It has become very evident testing 12 doesn't prove much at all except the ancient background. Most have learned that one needs at least 37, and 67 is better. On another project I learned that FTDNA is offering special prices on upgrades THIS WEEK only. You can read more about that at http://www.worldfamilies.net/blog/upgrade-sale If you have tested 12, 25, or 37 markers with FTDNA, you can probably find those special prices on your personal web page that you will use for ordering the upgrade. These prices seem to last only until Saturday, May 23, so if you want to upgrade some day, this might be the week to do that. I am not connected in any way to FTDNA.
