Rosana CARROLL married a wonderful man named Arthur MULLEN, born 1810 in Ireland. I dont know if Art & Rosana met in America -or- married in Ireland & came to the US together. I will start with the one I know is my 3rd g-grandfather. William Washington Carroll bn abt 1790, abt. He came to La. in abt 1820. He was bn in Va. He had a son Madison Carroll who married Mary Boland in 1849 either in Red River Parish or Natchitoches Parish.One of their daughters, Verona Elizabeth Carroll married William Westwood Amistead. In Coushatta La. Now I have other Carrolls there too who may be related or not, dont know yet. John Carroll who was also from Va. Then in the 1870 census we find some black Carrolls we dont know if they were free blacks or had been slaves. their names. Charles Carroll bn in abt 1800 in Richmond Va. Searching for descendants of THOMAS CARROLL, born 1870 in County Limerick, son of Thomas Carroll and Catherine Moran. He emigrated c1890 to the NYC area where he later married and had a family. This information is documented. My mother-in-law's failing memory provided additional information: Thomas' wife was named Maggie (Margaret); the family consisted of two boys - John and Bill - and two girls - Catherine and an unknown name. Accuracy uncertain. All contact with this branch of the family has been lost, and we'd like to re-establish it.

I have very little info on my Carroll family. Elizabeth Carroll married John Monahan and first appeared 1871 in Needham, MA. According to family stories, Elizabeth came from Ireland with her mother and siblings, her father had passed away in Ireland. Her mother and siblings moved on to the midwest while Elizabeth remained in Mass with John. It is believed that they went to Carroll Iowa. My cousin tells me that relatives that had gone to visit them came back saying that everything in the town had the Carroll name. I don't know the mother's or siblings names but John and Elizabeth's first daughter was named Margaret and their second son was named Matthew. Other children's names were John, Charles, Elizabeth, Lawrence, James, and Thomas. It is believed that Elizabeth came from Waterford, Ireland. Barbara

Looking for information on a Charles Carroll who died in a hotel fire in Minneapolis, MN in 1939. He was of an age to have just married. He was raised in an orphanage somewhere in the east. He worked in a field where he traveled frequently. This is all the information I have. I tried to do some research on the fire and couldn't get any useful information.
