FHC does indeed mean Family History Center but it refers not to the LDS web site, but rather to any one of hundreds (perhaps thousands?) of local LDS genealogy libraries scattered throughout the US and Canada - and, I believe, the world. They are satellites or local branches of the very large LDS genealogy library in Salt Lake City. Carol
FHC stands for Family History Center. Cindy
I don't know if someone has already answered this for Phyllis, but as far as I know, FHC means Family History Center and that is the LDS website. -----Original Message----- From: Lura C. Well I did the 1869-1874 marriges for the Carrolls today at FHC I would do look up and then the next step that has to be done is to request the Vol and page number but because there are so amny Carrolls I just printed the page on all the years. 1869-70-71-72-73 It gives the name and the town they were from I found two Thomas and a lot of Anne but I know when I get the certificate Phyllis researching Carroll/Doherty/Carlin/Carland/Birmingham/McLaughlin

Does anyone out there have copies of the Wills for John "Carrell" or William Carrell dated 1817 and 1812 respectively. These would be in Johnston County, North Carolina. If no one has copies I will send for them and will be happy to share them with all but just thought I would check first. Thanks You Kathy
Can you please clarify what info you hope to extract about the NC wills you mention. I have some info about the John Carroll of Moore Co., NC - I have a copy of the original will - some of your names are incorrect (Lindley s/b Tinsely, for example, Starling s/b Sterling). Tell us what you want to know and perhaps I can help out. I descend from this John Carroll. I have copied what I think is this person's request as far as Orange County goes. It was: There was a Moses Carroll that married Margaret Rhew November 3, 1854 in Orange County, NC? Who is this? Orange County where? Exactly! Why do people post such ambiguous inquiries, and actually expect a reply. There must be Orange Counties in at least Florida and California, and probably more. Unless more specific locations are given , such AS WHAT STATE are you talking about, it becomes most impossible to reply to the poster.
