to wcarroll@mis.net and the Carroll list administrator: While wcarroll has a valid concept, his message to me and the others on his broadcast thru the list is JUNK MAIL. It is just as unsolicited as the snail mail. Please stop.

I don't know of anyone named ELLIOTT CARROLL in my line, but I just might not have the connection. Good luck in your search, Faye Carroll Strycker
To: ecalde6045@aol.com I don't think I know your John J. Carroll, but if you would give some dates and more information it might help someone else identify him. Folks on these mail lists are always very helpful if they can be, but without information there just isn't much we can do to help. Err on the side of giving too much information, rather than not enough. For example: -Where in NY was he born? -Which census in Kansas? -Daughters are important, too. Do you know their names? Do you know who they married? -When was Walter born? -When did he die? -IF you father is now dead, you might want to give dates for him, too. If he is still alive, it might be best to not give those dates. That is up to your discretion. I'll bet folks will try to help if they can. Well Hello!!!!!! I have been patiently reading all these Roll Call's and you're the first one with any KY connection. Amazingly, Bowling Green, KY. My search is for the ancestors and siblings of one Elliott Carroll(dob ~ 1870), my grandfather I found him on the 1910 Census in Warren CO, KY. with his wife, children and in-laws. The in-laws name may be spelled wrong as our family has Mattie Carroll's maiden name as Hurt, not Hurd. Wife Mattie 34, Kentucky (dob~1876) Son Joseph 08, Kentucky Daughter Margaret 06, KentuckySon Elliott 03, (dob~1907) KentuckyFather-in-law James Hurb 73, Kentucky (dob~1937)Mother-in-law Mary 71, Kentucky (dob~1839) Son Elliott was one of twins named Elliott Sherwood and Elliott Scherer I know, from an old newspaper notice, that Elliott was one of two son's and his mother, a widow moved to Bowling Green. She remarried, to a Wise ? Perhaps I'm related to your cousin Faye? My grandparents moved to Indiana after this census but my grandmother was returned to Bowling Green for burial. If Carroll's are not the Smith's of Ireland they certainly are south of the Mason-Dixon!! Thanks for reading.
